Notes: The year this photo was taken is based on the age of Estelle Janek, who was born in 1911, and the death of Marie Barton Janek. The couple in the middle front: he holds a long-stemmed rose in his lap and she has a corsage pinned to her dress. The lady sitting to the left of the celebrating woman, and the two ladies to their left, on the front row, all resemble each other. The lady sitting by the celebrating woman is Marie BartonJanek. We identified her from other photos that we have. Therefore, it is believed that the celebrating couple would be her parents. The two ladies to her left could possibly be Marie's sister and the sister's daughter. It is my guess that the sister and her family did not live in West, but rather a large city. The husband, wife, and daughter are all wearing jewelry where none of the others appear to be. This is just an assumption on my part. |
